"I'm Gonna Walk 100 Miles...

If that's what it takes to make me smile, I'm gonna walk 100 miles..."

- Whole Wide World, Mindy Gledhill

First Step

My Aunt Brenda shared this song, this video, and introduced me to Ms. Mindy Gledhill a month or so ago.
(It was the first week in July 2012)
I listen to this song multiple times a week.

Recently, my life's journey has been very rocky with far too many bumps and unexpected turns to say the least.

This song cannot be heard without smiling.
This song also inspired one of the ways in which I choose to
manage some of the detours and unexpected turns I am experiencing:

I'm gonna walk 100 miles.

At difficult times in life, exercise is often the LAST thing you want to do.
Yet, it is one of those things that will help smooth out the rockiness.

I'm gonna walk 100 miles and document my journey.
I already have a gal pal along for the journey as well!
Whether I walk a quarter of a mile a day to 6 miles or more a day, every step counts!

If anyone else out there would like to participate in this project, PLEASE DO!

Your purpose can be great or small.  You can run, walk, skip, jump, do cartwheels, sache, wander, meander, or hop like a frog!  No fancy footwork or footwear required!
It's YOUR journey of 100 miles.
But you don't have to do it alone!  Invite a friend or MANY friends!
If you'd like to share your journey(s) here,
send me your stories and photos of your
I'm gonna walk 100 miles experiences!

Life can be rough at times.
When times get rough, the tough get going.
Here's to many happy miles!

*Whistling all the while STRONGLY encouraged.

I hope our 100 mile paths cross someday!
